0/12 This class will cover the methods used to evaluate microscopic structures of tissues that make up organ systems. The histopathologic organization of cells in tissues is used to determine normal versus diseased or damaged tissue. The goal of this course is to help students understand investigative pathology and associated techniques as well as expose the students to how these techniques are used in an industrial setting to develop new pharmaceuticals. The course will involve a combination of lectures, lab work, and a field trip to Boehringer Ingelheim facilities in Ridgefield, CT. 1.00
