SS1 Storrs Summer 2023 2129 In Person Nadeau, Jenifer 10 0/6 Equine Health Management – You would help weigh and body condition score every other month. You would help collect manure and do fecal floatation exams and follow ups once during the semester in the fall (in the summer we will do checks of any new horses or horses we are concerned about). Must have horse leading experience to do this, ability to put on a halter and lead a horse.
SS1 Storrs Summer 2023 2132 In Person Nadeau, Jenifer 11 0/6 Equine Extension Techniques – you would create a station, team problem, 10 slides on horse topics and also assist with the state 4-H horse show and Giddy Up Games as well as other activities as needed . A few weekends involved but we can work around those as needed.
SS1 Storrs Summer 2023 2133 In Person Nadeau, Jenifer 12 0/6 Equine Trail Management – Assist Dr Nadeau with trail maintenance mostly on foot, learning about the flora and fauna of the UConn forest and proper trail maintenance techniques. May be opportunity for riding if you have experience at the walk, trot and canter.
